Chapter 17, Scene 7
September 12th, 2018The Morantine have one last trick up their sleeve to take Fort Belfroi! Hold on to your tricornes to see if it is successful!
This wraps up Chapter 17! It was an action-packed chapter with the fate of a war in the balance. Starting with this chapter (as it’s the first on in Volume 5), I’m not going to be doing vignettes any more. We don’t really need them in the final arc of the story. So I’m going to be skipping directly to Chapter 18 next. It’s titled “The Hunting Grounds” and focuses on Jassart and Talons as well as Snow-by-Night and the others at the windmill.
We’re working on Chapter 18, but Julian is moving this month so we’re going to have a bit of a delay. I don’t have a timeframe right now, because too much is up in the air. I’ll let you all know about a week beforehand when I’ll post the first scene.

August 29th, 2018Ah…. summer is over as is all the trips, conventions, and holidays. Pages are coming in at a steady pace. I expect to post scene 7 of Chapter 17 next week! It’s going to be a doozy — 6 pages total! It’s the exciting conclusion to the chapter!
*EDIT* We had to rework a couple panels and make a few other changes. I’m now shooting to have these up on Monday.

July 25th, 2018Marshal Marguerite unleashes a deadly new alchemical weapon on the attacking Morantine — weaponized malignant spirits! It may look like poison gas, but it’s magical. I firmly believe that 18th century European powers would absolutely use technology like this to expand their empires if they had access to it.

This concludes this scene. I’m out of town for the next two weeks. so we’re switching to multi-page scene updates for the rest of the chapter! I honestly think it’s fo the best. The story reads better in scenes. I’ll give you a heads up before I post the update.
Also, we’ll be doing a site update in July to account for Project Wonderful folding. Things will move around a little bit on the site, but it should be easy enough to navigate.

The last page of this scene goes up on Monday. After that page, I’m going to be switching to a by-scene update schedule. Instead of a single page twice a week, I’m going to be uploading a multi-page update every 2-4 weeks. It won’t be a set schedule on when they go up. Instead, it will be when the pages are ready. I’ll give notice a couple days beforehand to keep an eye out.
Also, another heads up. Project Wonderful is shutting down next month. I’m going to need to restructure the site to remove those elements. Look for that to happen in July!
