Winter Fantasy Page 9

June 30th, 2013

Blaise and Snow-by-Night finish their song and dance atop one of Sherbourg’s many ships on Page 9 of Winter Fantasy. To see where this musical daydream is actually being played out, check out a sneak peek of the last page of Winter Fantasy by voting for us on Top Web Comics.

Adventures in London

June 27th, 2013

Hello, Diane here to bring you the promised silliness in place of Eric’s usual Almanac update! He and Amy have been sending me updates on their adventures in London, which I have jealously illustrated here for you. They went on a double-decker bus tour through London that took them over the Tower Bridge. They weren’t actually still on the bus when they visited the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, or when they crossed St. James’ Park to see Buckingham Palace, but I claim artistic liberty.

I had originally intended to make the animation a bit longer and sillier, but unfortunately I’ve been stranded in bed with a high fever, and I can barely keep awake for more than half an hour at a time. But maybe next week…

While I hope you enjoyed my fun little interlude, we’ll be back to the vignette for Monday’s update. Vote for us on Top Web Comics for a sneak peek!

Winter Fantasy Page 8

June 25th, 2013

It’s Diane here again to bring you Page 8 of Winter Fantasy! After entering a native tribe to find a festive night of dancing, Blaise and Snow-by-Night shrink to dance on top of one of the drums. To see where their musical leads next, vote for us on Top Web Comics.

Don’t forget to stop by on Friday for my special update to cover Eric’s absence! There won’t be an Almanac entry, but there will be fun shenanigans.

Winter Fantasy Page 7

June 23rd, 2013

Having fallen to the bottom of Crescent Falls, Blaise and Snow land in a boat that takes them to shore. Hand in hand, they walk toward a long wooden fence on Page 7 of Winter Fantasy – to see what lies beyond, vote for us on Top Web Comics.

With Eric away on vacation, Diane is here to take over (despite also being on vacation)! Luckily my vacation is just a few hours south at my family’s house, so internet access is easy to get. Eric, on the other hand, is somewhere on a plane right now. He’s right about Thursday’s update; there will be no Almanac entry this week. Instead, stay tuned for something much, much sillier!

Almanac – Onyara Falls

June 20th, 2013

This week’s Almanac entry is the Onyara Falls. This set of three waterfalls drains the Upper Country of Everique and is one of the most majestic natural wonders in all of Corthis. Naturally, any place like this is bound to have a few legends associated with it. And maybe a manitou or three.

I leave town tomorrow for vacation and a trip to England! Woooooo. Diane and Brittany will be filling in for me. The pages for the vignette are all done so they should go up on schedule. However, this is the last Almanac entry until July 12. Diane has volunteered to prepare something special for you while I’m away. I’m not sure what it is, but there was a lot of cackling.

Winter Fantasy Page 6

June 18th, 2013

On Page 6 of Winter Fantasy,┬áBlaise and Snow-by-Night leap from the moon to land atop the Crescent Falls, one of greatest natural wonders of Everique. The Crescent Falls will be the subject of this week’s almanac entry.

To see the fate of the two as they plunge over the falls, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comic.

Winter Fantasy Page 5

June 16th, 2013

Even the heavens are not safe from Blaise’s imagination as seen on Page 5 of Winter Fantasy. To see what fantastic natural wonder Blaise visits next, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

Brittany and I just got back from Anime Mid-Atlantic a few hours ago. The 3-hour drive took 5 because of horrible traffic the entire way home. I’ll upload a con report on our Facebook page in the next couple of days.

Almanac – Thaust

June 13th, 2013

This week’s Almanac entry returns to our Mythic Beings with Thaust, the great spirit of glory, ambition, and conflict as well as the Patron of Morante. He is the greatest rival to Giavere, and the Lion and the Unicorn have tangled many times since the rise of the great spirits.

Corthis is a world inspired by the what ifs of history. This rivalry grew from my musing on the nursery rhyme The Lion and the Unicorn.

The lion and the unicorn
Were fighting for the crown
The lion beat the unicorn
All around the town.
Some gave them white bread,
And some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake
and drummed them out of town
