Chapter 8 Page 19

February 17th, 2014

Jassart squanders his chance to get the aether on Chapter 8 Page 19. Poor Jassart. He put a human life before aether. Bertrande does not approve. To see a hint of what happens to Jassart next, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

It’s been a busy week in the press department. Two Geeks Talking has uploaded our interview from last Saturday. Kurt asks us all sorts of questions about Snow by Night and webcomics. There’s a spoiler section at the end where Brittany and I give away far too much of what we have in store. And Brittany was interviewed by Katsucon, while she was in the Artist Alley. She does a great job representing us. Way to go, Brittany!

Art Contest! Two weeks to go. Cash prizes to the winners. Glory and honor to all who enter.

Chapter 6 Page 16

April 9th, 2013

Almanac References: Cienan yr Tuathal, Sacre, Vivienne de Carailles

Snow-by-Night and Blaise meet some old friends after the opera on Chapter 6 Page 16. Well, old friends might not be the right word. Terrifying acquaintances? To see a peek at next Monday’s page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

The art contest entries have all moved over to the Extras page where you can peruse them at your leisure. My thanks again to all the talented artists who submitted entries. Just a head’s up. There’s a good chance we’ll be doing this contest again next year.

We got another review. Ram Lama reviewed Snow by Night and gave us 3 stars out of 5.  Alas, he does not care for my humor, but he likes the vignettes.

Chapter 5 Page 23

December 18th, 2012

So what happens when you shoot a manitou? You make her really angry. See it unfold on Chapter 5 Page 23. To see Brittany’s sketch for this page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

This is our last page before our holiday break. There is an almanac entry this Friday (I’m thinking about discussing gunpowder). Starting next week, we will have holiday sketches up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So stop by and see what Naty, Brittany, and Sunny have put together. It’s delightfully festive. Pages resume on January 7!

One last thing, we got a review from Comic Booked.com as part of their Webcomics Wednesday. They called us high class!

Chapter 5 Page 8

September 16th, 2012

Mathilde is quick on her feet in Chapter 5 Page 8! I wonder how she and Snow by Night will get along? Something tells me pretty well once the shock factor wears off. You can see a sneak peak of Mathilde’s initial reaction by voting for us on Top Web Comics. I just hope Jassart doesn’t find out that Blaise spilled the beans to Mathilde XD.

And oh hi! I’m Naty! The new colorist! I took over for Brittany at the beginning of Chapter 4. I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution so far, cause this is a super fun story to color. Sometimes it’s so fun Eric has to make me tone down the sparkles whenever magic happens. Painting all the snow is a fun challenge and always takes longer than you’d think…at least for me. Our latest review from the I Am Legend blog thinks our combined efforts are pretty cool, too. They docked us points in popularity, but we’re working on that. You, dear readers, can help us out by telling your web-comic reading friends to check us out. C: I mean, how many other web comics out there have pocket manitou?

Chapter 5 Page 4

August 28th, 2012

Almanac References: Glean, My eye

Chapter 5, Page 4 is up. Mathilde lights into Jassart for breaking his promise. Can he talk his way out of this one? Hmmm. We shall see. To see who or what Mathilde considers the weak link, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

In other news, Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue is getting some great reviews. Please check them out on AmazonEN World, Nerdvana, and Diehard Game Fan.

Almanac – Slang part 2

February 20th, 2011

This week’s Almanac entry expands on an earlier one. I’ve doubled the size of the slang portion of the Almanac to account for all the terms and phrases being tossed about by our underworld players. I’m having a fun time researching and developing the terms (all the while getting help from my Quebecois braintrust). I hope you enjoy the colorful addition to the dialog.

Last week, Snow by Night got a terrific shout-out from Teos Abadia. Teos is one of the organizers of the fabulously awesome D&D living campaign Ashes of Athas, which you should play if you like D&D. Teos was a guest on Going Last, an RPG blog. He mentions us in Session 4 posted February 9th at about the 1:45 mark (that’s 1 hour and 45 minutes). I recommend listening to the entire podcast. It’s very informative – especially the Ashes of Athas portion.

A Raging Review

December 24th, 2010

A few months ago, I did some work for Raging Swan Press, called Pazuzu’s Fury, which details a particularly nasty group of harpies for use in fantasy role-playing games. Yesterday, we got a 5-star review on Paizo. I’m positively beaming. The reviewer particularly liked my story see of “The Ugly Duckling.” What is an ugly duckling among harpies? Read the review on Paizo to find out. Or better yet, buy Pazuzu’s Fury from Raging Swan. It’s $2.99 for the pdf. An excellent deal.
