Almanac – Thérèse de Varennes
May 2nd, 2013This week’s Almanac entry is Thérèse de Varennes, the Oracle of Giavere. As the high priestess at the temple in town, she’s the highest ranking cleric in town. She’s a fairly recent arrival in Sherbourg and was brought her by the express will of Giavere. She’s also as blind as a bat. Don’t worry, Giavere gives her seers second sight so they’re not bumping into things and causing fires.
We got another review! This time by ComicSpectrum. We did pretty well – 4 out 5. Someday I’m going to have to figure out how to get to a 5/5. On a different note, Snow by Night now has a tumblr account! Another artist recommended that we get on tumblr a year ago. It took a year, but we finally got around to it.
But but but
But *why* do they go blind? D:
It’s a mystery. For whatever reason, many of Giavere’s priests go blind over time. Not all of them do. Those that rise high her hierarchy or have more visions tend to go blind faster. I’ll tweak the Almanac entry with this information.
