Chapter 16 Page 24

Where, oh where has all the fire gone?

Why did it leave us standing outside?

We searched the town over and thought we found Jassart.

Then there was a slurp and poof you were gone!

If they Do Not close that now this will be Jassart’s exit. Sings-to-Moon will have to have known at least one other that she used to escape and hide in Vivienne’s gun.

Proof that Marguerite and Vivienne are competitors, but not enemies? Looks like it to me, which is encouraging! Maybe they can work together to stop Jassart AND the invaders?

Just wait for Viv to get out and then pull the feather charm away to seal back the cave.

That would be too easy, though. Jassart and Talons are going to get out somehow, or they won’t be able to be a threat.

Took me a sec to figure out that was a Hee-Haw reference. I feel better knowing others still remember that show.

High Five! I loved that campy, silly show.

Thanks for mentioning Hee Haw – haven’t thought about that show in ages, and was racking my brain trying to figure out why that set of lines seemed so familiar!
If I’d heard it sung it would have been obvious, but reading isn’t the same…

Oh man. I just sang that to myself now, complete with “pppbbbbtttt”. (Disclaimer: I have only seen parts of Hee Haw.)

Hee Haw was a variety show. So you only need to see parts of it! The best variety show was the Carol Burnett Show. That woman is a comedy genius.

That was what I thought the first time (I watched it as a little boy). But if you get past the cornball humor, some of the musicians were absolutely at the top of their field.
