April 13th, 2016Another great spirit makes its presence known on Chapter 13 Page 6. This is Melaithe, Speaker of Mysteries and Keeper of Secrets. The two-visaged spirit is the patron of Garthmoor, which is Cienan’s home. Melaithe has always been one of my favorite spirits. So many possibilities.

I’m guessing the light from Cienan’s eye was payment for asking Melaithe to help?
Oh, I kinda thought it was something like the knowledge Malaithe shared with Cienan was drawn in a physical/visible way for readers to see. But I don’t know either. There’s a surprisingly large number of things going on at once here.

Well, now, could he do that for Snow if she ever uh wanted to go human?
Probably, but she already has a body. She got hers from Father Winter which means it doesn’t have any human blood in it. Instead, it has the amethysts for eyes as the focus.
Well, if anything went uh south with the other arrangement, and a shall we say less pale version were to be desired . . . just speculating. What I’m really wondering is whether the donor in this case is acquiring a kind of sister, since her body is made with both his blood and his ether.
Is that the statue that looks like it’s shouting?
