A Berry from the Sun page 4

April 28th, 2015

Fire consumes; ice preserves. On page 4 of A Berry from the Sun, Talons-that-Seek reveals what has transformed him. I love Cari Corene’s representation of the sun as a berry bush. She does such pretty work. To see a preview of the next page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

I’m plugging away on Volume 2 things this week and working on the script for Chapter 11. The maps and bonus vignette are in production for the volume. Once I get the script done, I’m going to start picking out all the sketches and other bonus art to include in the chapter. I’ll keep you appraised of things as they continue.

My other favorite excuse, which I hear FAR too often… “For an enlightened individual like myself, I am above meaningless concepts like good and evil.”

I’m a little confused about the berry thing, but other than that I’m really liking this vignette.

Btw, why do you call them that?

The sun is a giant berry bush. A berry bush that’s on fire. :-)

I call the short stories vignettes, because the etymology is French and the word directly sums up what I’m trying to do with them. Literary vignettes are short scenes inside a larger work that focuses on a single moment, character, or object.
