Diane got all the bookmarks into the Almanac. I’m currently going through and adding in Almanac Reference links to the journal entry for each of the pages. It’s slow going, and I’ve gotten through Chapter 1. I’ll try to have this done by our Wednesday update.

We got another review. Ram Lama reviewed Snow by Night and gave us 3 stars out of 5. Alas, he does not care for my humor, but he likes the vignettes.

It’s a night at the opera on Chapter 6 Page 15. Brittany and Naty outdid themselves bringing an art form that is the height of baroque culture to the page. Diane has been populating the site with chibis. We have a new chibi as our permanent link to the TWC voting gateway for Snow by Night. We also have icons for beginning the tale and finding a page. We went with the chibis to create an art break between the characters in the novel and our graphic designs for the web page.
Our final round in the Art Contest is in full swing and the voting is so close. Make your voice heard today (and everyday) until Saturday. Our Art Contest is rolling along. The support for our four finalists has been amazing. And they certainly deserve it. They are four talented artists. We’ll be placing all the art there, along with the artist’s names and links to their portfolios.

We went live with our site redesign over this past weekend. While most of the changes were welcomed, several readers brought up their love of the landing page. This page gave a preview of the latest page and contained link icons to Page 1 and the Table of Contents. I liked both of the link icons, so the icons will be returning as soon as the art is finished for them.
So what is your preference? Should we post the latest page of the comic on the index page of the site? Or should we post a preview that takes you to the latest page of the comic? Let us know. We want this to be an enjoyable reading experience.

So much news to go through today. First off, the Art Contest. This weekend is Zenkaikon. We’ll be there with Chapters 1-4, as well as prints, and buttons. Our newest button is “I’m Fluent in Metaphor”. These words by Mathilde were very popular at Katsucon where we sold out of them.
Our last big piece of news is the site redesign. For that, I’m turning the journal over to Diane.
H, Diane here! You may have noticed a dramatic change in how things look around here. Our conversion over to PHP is finally here, with continual tweaks to be added as we go. One big improvement is the added Journal entries beneath each Story page – now you can feel free to comment on your favorite pages in the Story archive as you read through! Each Story page has been enlarged to a width of 750px in the new layout, too. We also have updated Share/Follow buttons on our sidebar so you can help spread the word of Snow by Night. If you have any suggestions, or notice any issues with the new site (I’m only human!) please let us know so we can continue to improve!
