The clans are the family lineages of the Liranequois, each one dating back to a famous female ancestor.\u00a0Maybe someday I&#8217;ll include stories about each of these legendary women, but it&#8217;s beyond the scope of the comic at the moment. The women hold the power in the clan, with each clan ruled by a matron. This has caused the Japethan colonists to consider the Liranequois a matriarchy. Which is partially true. We&#8217;ll discuss the sachems next week.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working with a couple Native American artists for future vignettes and other projects. I would like to include more.
